Haha! I've just started really playing with FMQ (which is not pretty so far) but I'm surprisingly having the best luck on my 50's Singer 301! It's not impossible to imagine making progress, just really, really tricky, lol! Welcome and enjoy!

Welcome Tam from the FL panhandle. You are on your way. I'm a Juki girl too, love it.

Welcome from the Deep South. I have a Singer Golden touch and sew, circa 1968, that I will never let go. It's major advantage is that the feed dogs are narrow and your presser foot will sit on both of the feed dogs and pull the fabric through evenly. The wider feed dogs and larger presser feet can be trickier to work with.

I have the model prior to the Golden Touch & Sew! Won't get rid of it either! It's just not made for free motion. Try as we did, we just couldn't do it! Juki doesn't have that problem.
