Moving to Dayton, OH area
#22
Welcome from Franklin, Ohio just 15 mins south of Dayton. Our location is nice because if Wayneville doesn't have it there is a JoAnns in Dayton. Sewing Machines and services better in Cincinnati IMHO.
New to quilting so I am also looking for a group.

Welcome to the Dayton area! I live about 30 min. south of Dayton in Middletown. We just had a new quilt shop open just off of I-75 at the route 122 exit. It is a small shop, but good prices. It is called Complete Quilting. They have long arm services and you can rent time on their long arm. It is behind the Cracker Barrel and next to El Rancho Grande.
About 15 minutes away from that shop there is one in Trenton, right on route 73. It is called Valley Quilts. It has lots of classes that are fun.
In the Dayton Mall area, there is a JoAnne's. I have never been to the Waynesville shop, but I hear it is great! Maybe we could do a meet and greet there sometime!
We have a quilt guild that meets at the Middletown Library once a month. PM me if you want more info on that!

Welcome from Dayton. I love going to Fabric Shack in
Waynesville. It's about 30 min. south of Dayton. There
are some small shops around Dayton in Huber Heights and Beavercreek and Centerville. Let us know when you hit town and we'll tell you how to get to all of them.

Bella Quilts in Hamilton, OH is awesome, and Best Friends Quilting shop in Cincinnati is also pretty darn good. There are a couple of shops in Sharonville, called Sew-Easy and Aunt Ruth's Quilt Store (both on Reading Rd, about 4 blocks from each other)that are smallish, but have a really good selection of fabric, books, and tools. I do not know of any specifically in/around Dayton, but have to agree that the Fabric Shack in Waynesville is worth a trip.
Maybe you ought to take a day trip and go visit all of them :)
