I hope you have a safe move and I hope you like Newnan, I am about 45 miles away across the line in ALABAMA!

I live on the other side---North East----of Atlanta and welcome! We are having a quilting board meet up, our first of hopefully many, on May 29th and you are definitely invited if you are here by then. If not, please PM greenini to be on the list for the next meetup sometime this fall. One of the best quilt shops in the huge Metro area is decently close to you, it's called A Scarlet Thread or maybe it's THE instead of A. Not a lot of shops around town but lots of nice people wherever you go.....

Who knows you may meet Allen Jackson's relatives and he may

even visit town once in awhile. It is a sweet place to live.

Welcome! I moved from NY to GA nine years ago and really love it down here...nice people and nice weather (most of the time). I'm sure that once you get settled you'll get your bearings and will want to explore the quilt shops in our area most of which would be a little north of Newnan. Good luck with your move :)
