All you ladies are just wonderful.
Oh I have a question any easy way of putting a throw together, meaning the top, matting and back.. Wow that was fun and not easy. Trying to get it all smooth.
    thanks.
Welcome to the group. My name is Corry and I am from Okeechobee, Florida. I am a fairly new quilter. Started about 3 yrs ago. As for your question.....putting the quilt top together with the bating and the back is often called making your quilt sandwich. It is not my favorite part of quilting. I enjoy all the rest. I have two 5ft folding tables put together in my livingroom for this. I tape the backing fabric down to the table, right side down......place the batting on top and smooth it out. I think many people tumble the batting in the dryer before doing this part. Then you place you quilt top on the bating smoothing it all down. You can either pin or baste these all together. I bought a bunch of pins from the quilting section at Walmart and pinned about 4 or 5 inchs apart all over. There is also a spray that you can buy to spray on the backing and batting before you put these layers together. It is tacky and kind of glues them together until you get it quilted on the machine or tying the quilt. There is most likely better instructions than mine you could find by looking in the search of this site. You will see the word search at the top of the forum, click on that and type in your subject and it will find all info in the forum about that subject. There is also a way of putting your quilt sand together by hanging it on the wall and putting the 3 pieces together. Gravity helps in the process to make it easier but I don't have any where to do this. lol Hope this answers some of your questions. I love this message board and everyone is so helpful. I have learned alot here. Hope you stick around. You will make a lot of friends and learn alot. Corry

Hello and welcome!!! Corry gave a great answer to your question. A lot of people here seem to really love that 505 spray adhesive.
