Well you might think I am talking about 4 kiddos but I知 not. I知 talking about my 4 cats. They are all my kiddos. I don稚 have children so my kiddos are my cats and are my family. Otherwise I知 alone. I joined the site to learn more about quilting and the techniques for making them. I知 not much of a sewer so I thought y誕ll might have some ideas for such a beginner. I have just learned how to make huck towels and love doing them. I was taught to do it without any knots except for an occasional French knot placed as an eye.
I am willing to start small and work my way up through the more complex patterns.

Welcome! I have no idea what you mean by "huck towels" - maybe you can explain? :-) Anyway, you'll find lots of ideas here for all sorts of projects - just start browsing and I'm sure you'll be inspired. :-)

Glad you joined us. There are lots of talented people here that are willing to share their knowledge. I have some huck towels that my mother made. They are so pretty. I think I even have a booklet with instructions to make them.

Welcome to the board. I also am single but have 2 girls and a boy, kitties that is. Yes, they're my family. Each comes with their own character but most times they get along with each other. My little boy as I call him is the newest and a problem child as he loves to irritate the girls. He's just figured out he can jump up on the bed to the girls' fear but he normally won't get up there until around 5am and then the fun begins. Tabby just moves over to the window seat and if irritated too long, Pepper, my oldest girl will take off. Boomer, my little boy likes to chew cords I found out early so I've got them hung up high where he can't get them and for whatever reason, he's always either chewing on messing witht he baseboard heat so I have to yell at him to take off. But he's still my little boy and I wouldn't give him up for anything, just like my girls.

Welcome to QB! I, too, have 3 boys and one girl. Mine are dogs! The 3 boys are dachshunds and my girl is mostly dachshund, but also Catahoula, Jack Russell plus a few other dogs. Lots of good info here. I would like to suggest to find a quilt shop near you and look into some beginning quilting classes.
