Welcome from northern Arizona. I don't know much about embroidery machines but I do have a Janome 6600 MC and love it. It has many decorative stitches but I seldom use them. Good luck on your search for a new machine

A big welcome from Central Florida. I have had 5 or more Janome machines over the years. The main reason is because I have a local dealer who does repair work on them and is very knowledgeable about the functions of the different machines. I don't have an embroidery only machine but I have an 11000 and a 15000 that sew and embroider. I would base my decision between the Janome and Bernina on how large the embroidery area is on each machine. I like to be able to embroider larger quilt blocks if I want. I think it is also important to be close to a dealer so you don't spend a lot of down time while traveling to dealers that are out of town. Good luck.!
