Hello - I just registered this morning after seeing those lovely ornament patterns. I live in Washington State, started to really learn to quilt about 5 years ago, before that I tried doing it myself by reading books. Since finding this newsletter I've enjoyed reading all the posts and have learned a few new tricks of the trade.

Hi Fabraholic. I too joined after seeing the Christmas Ornaments by Shelly. I just couldn't resist!! I live next door in Idaho, down in the southeastern corner. Right now we're getting a lovely mix of sleet and snow. It's perfect quilting weather! :D I learned to quilt from Alex Anderson's program Simply Quilts. It has only been in the last three years that I have discovered the joys of classes and my quilting has improved enough that I am actually considering making quilts to try and enter into national shows. I'm far enough along to want to try and get a quilt into a big show but not so far along as to think I'd have any shot at prizes.
I should be downstairs finishing up Christmas gifts and instead I'm in here goofing off. I can't seem to help myself. You ladies seem like such a friendly group!
