Glad to have ya. My sister lives in Gladstone OR, and I LOVE to visit her there! We love to have photos posted too, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or expert. It's great to learn and share ideas.

I haven't figured out where to put a design board at my house, but one of my friends just uses a cheapie vinyl tablecloth w/a flannel back on it. She has it pinned up in a corner of her family room, where her sewing area is. Works for her!
As for what colors 'go together' - well, just look around you! In nature, all colors go together, don't they? If you're not sure what you'd like, or how to pick, you can always take that print fabric that you absolutely LOVE, and pull your colors from that one, and you already know that you like them together. :D (You don't even have to use the print in your quilt if you don't want to!)
