We are using two machines. My wife recentally upgrated her 2500 Brother to a 4500 Brother Duetta D. We just purchased a small Singer teaching machine with something like 31 different stitches. We intend to use it for "easy" straight stitching. I used the Singer to assemble it, then the Brother to do the diagonal stitching and quilting. The pictures doesn't show them but there japanese designs embrodered along the border. I created the designs with brothers PE-design software from a clip art data base from Dover Publications. A couple of the designs are attached, seen on the back of the quilt.

This design is in the middle of each side of the border.

Two other designs. There are six different in all.
