Hi everyone, I have spent the last 3 hours reading so many post on here.Love it all.You are very helpful ladies. I want to start my first quilt ever. I have tons of scraps on my table and want to make a Christmas theme quilt ( my fabrics are all Christmas designs). I read the tutorial on how to starts with a simple block. I think I am ready to go. You will see me here a lot as I go. So many terms and abbreviation on this site that are new to me. BTW I have been sewing for 30 +years and a quilt has always been something I wanted to do.
What advice can you give to a newbie ,to help me start off and be successful with my first project.
You all are wonderful, and your works are beautiful.

Welcome from Idaho!
The first three tips I give to new quilters are:
Measure twice, cut once.
Establish where you need to line up the edge of your fabric to get a 1/4" seam-or many people do a scant 1/4" seam.
Press-don't iron.
You will do awesome!!!
