Default New poster - former lurker.

I am a recent widow and I hope to get started quilting again. I have lots of fabric and many patterns, I just need some encouragement to get going. I have 7 grandchildren that would all like new quilts since their old ones are over 10 years old. Please help me get motivated.

Welcome Marilyn from the state of Arizona. I sure if you browse around this forum and look at the picture galleries you will find lots of inspiration. So sorry to hear of your recent loss and I wish you many hours happy quilting in the future.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Look through Jenny Doan's tutorial for the missouristarquiltco. and see if any appeal to you.

Welcome from South Louisiana. One way to do it is to start with a BOM or BOW. That way it's not overwhelming and you only have to do a little at a time. This is a BOM but we get 2 blocks each month. You can make either or both. Check it out. http://www.quiltingboard.com/blocks-...ml#post7815430

Welcome from Sunny FL!

What fun to have 7 grandchildren! Lots of stitching projects. Are they near you? Let them help with choosing fabrics and designs. Perhaps you can make your own "signature" block to include in each quilt.

Happy Stitching!
