    Thank you for all the replys.....Thanks for all the welcomes....This sounds like a really great site to keep coming back too !!! I believe that I will not wash the JR strips & go forward with another UFO !! Thanks all once again !

    Generally, I wash everything and iron it right away. If I don't iron it right then, I might have a tendency to throw it in a fabric bin and forget about it.

    Welcome from OHIO! I never wash pre-cuts and have never had a problem. I do throw color-catchers into the first wash of the completed quilt.
