    Hi Woodchkr,

    I am also a newbie on this board, and as well, for quilting.
    Atleast you were able to take a class. I think that trying to find an affordable class is one of the biggest hurdles that I have come across. Everything is so expensive here in California. But that is why I joined this board. I figure it is the next best thing to taking a beginner's class! There are lots of ideas, tips, tricks, and tutorials here.
