Have you altered your tension? Sometimes, certain machines need the tension adjusted for the bulk, which is pulling on your thread a little too much also, some of my friends tell me they use a slightly longer stitch to allow for the bulk. Each machine is different, so try to get a small sandwich scrap and tweak your machine adjustments and see if it alters the stitching. I'm not an expert, but these are things we've tried.
