Welcome from rural Ohio. Is a prayer quilt when you say a prayer for the recipient for each tie you tie?

Yes. We use either yarn or DMC floss, and then the quilt is passed throughout the service and each person says a prayer for the recipient. We have been doing them for about three years, and they have been very well received.
