I went through about 10:30 on 15 south from Harrisburg and then again at 3:00 north back to Harrisburg. Did you see me? I beeped too.

Kwhite...morning or afternoon? lol I will be outside at our pool around 10:00am so I'll start waving back to you then. We are having friends coming for swimming and dinner at 2:00pm. Are you heading north or south? If heading south on Rt.15 just look to the right when you pass Rutter's and then less than 1/4 mile away is Sheetz. I live on a private road back in the mountain that you can see from Rt. 15.

OMG kwhite...I heard that horn blow and immediately knew it was you. LOL
Thanks again for all of the welcomes.
BettyGee - yes this is a great area but when my husband gets to retirement age I would like to move a little further south. I am tired of the snow, wind and cold. And yes Lancaster County is kind of like God's country.
Lou Bert - no I am not attending the Penn National show...never heard of it. In Amish Country there is so much to see and do. Are you familiar with the area at all. There are so many tours that you can do...I think the best one is on Route 896S.

It looks like a small Amish Village and you are free to look inside the buildings but...the people that give the inside program are very thorough and you learn a lot.
I'm not crazy about some of the restaurants on Route 30...I mean they all advertise PA Dutch cooking. South on Route 30 from the Amish Village on the left are some little shops and there is a restaurant called Diener's. They have the best breakfast buffet...never ate lunch there but have been told by friends that it is delicious. And then right beside it is Dutch Haven...I think the best shoo fly pie I ever ate...wet bottom. I've driven from my house to Lancaster just to get shoo fly pies.

Hope you have a great trip and enjoy the quilt show. Where exactly is it...Penn National is the name of a casino and horse races outside of Hershey...is it there?
Thanks again for all of the welcomes.

Oh my...I go down to Emmitsburg a few times with my friend. We go to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine...and "the Mount". She has a friend that lives in that area...her hubby used to be the basketball coach at the college.
WHAT A SMALL WORLD! This is so cool meeting all of my neighbors.
