I am literally a baby when it comes to quilting. I haven't even quilted my first quilt yet. I am reading and learning about the basic techniques and accumulating my supplies in the time being. I am carefully planning my first quilt which will be a patchwork baby quilt since that seems like a good basic quilt for a first timer. I look forward to learning from everyone here and hopefully make some new friends in the process. I have always loved quilts. Good ones are quite expensive. It dawned on me that I could make my own. Hi everyone!

Welcome from Central California. I don't do well taking lessons per se, I tend to get behind so "I really never quit get it" This board and its members taught me how to quilt. They have given me resoursse to go to (links and resourses), answered questions I didn't know I should have asked, and have provided support when I needed it. They are the best teachers and friends one could hope for.

Welcome from the Gulf of Mexico by way of Corpus Christi, Texas! AND welcome to our world. Don't be afraid to ask anything. Some one will have an answer or link to send your way!

Welcome from Oklahoma. It is great to have a group to ask stuff. When I started quilting in 1992 I had to learn by trial and error.
