Hi all,

I am just getting started with the newsletter and all and am having fun trying to navigate the site and see all the neat things going on. I am an avid quilter and am just getting started on my own personal challenge quilt. It will be a full size applique of a native american Lakota Chief in a full double war bonnet. The research has taken forever, but I think I am ready to start. (Kind of scary). I want to use hand dyed fabrics, and embellish with all kinds of goodies. Wish me luck. I will probably be asking for all sorts of advice and help.

Shemjo,

No pics yet for the quilt, it is still in the planning stages. I am in the mountains in California, very near Yosemite National Park. Get a lot of inspiration from Mother Nature here. Hope to make a lot of new friends on this site. Spend way too much time alone not to have quilters to chat with. lol

shemjo,

I just realized that you are from St. Louis. I grew up in Overland, and my husband is from New Athens, Ill. I still have family in Bellville, Il, and some in St. Charles. Looks like we have a bit in common. How fun

Greetings from Sacramento, CA. You do realize that once you get the hang of the QB, playing with the group here becomes another addiction? lol

Can't wait to see pics of the Chief.
