Good morning, my name is Robin and I live in very hot Texas. I am 58 years old, married, have 4 kids and 9 grandkids. I have owned a Quattro for about 2 years and have embroidered anything that would stand still. You need to know that I have never quilted a thing in my life. Recently I appliqued 12 squares and want to turn it into a baby quilt. I have a friend, I call her my ARTSY FARTSY friend who can turn a mudpuddle into a quilt. She is coming down to teach me how to quilt my squares. So before she gets here I thought I would attempt one of the jelly roll quilts since it seems so easy. I followed your directions and just finished. So I measure it and it measured 25 X 63. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I DID WRONG? Isn't is suppose to be 50 wide.
Thanks for your help for this beginner.

Wanted to say welcome! This happened to me once and found my squares were off (I am terrible at cutting) by just a few inches here and there, it all added up to make the difference in the finished size.
I just finished a quilt that had a queen size pattern, finished top is a king, dang, too big for my bed. One day, I will get the knack for cutting.
