Hi
I am from central Mn. where it is snowing again.
I just gave my sister-in-law who is in a group home with Alzheimers that I made from tube pieces. sew a light and dark piece together and then a separate light and dark piece together and lay them on top of each other light on top of dark and the other dark on top of the light piece and sew down both sides, then take a triangular ruler and place it on the strip & cut on both sides and you will have a block. Make as many as these blocks as you need for the size of quilt you want to make and sew them together. The triangular ruler I used was the Companion Angle and I lined the 3 1/2 inch line on the bottom of the strip and cut. I started out with 2 inch strips sewn together.
I have been quilting for many years and right now enjoy making scrap quilts for charity to get rid of some of my fabric so I can justify buying more fabric. I also make baby quilts and sell them out of my home.
I have 5 grandchildren that range in age from 20 to 10 and have make them all a quilt when they were 3 years old and again when they graduated from high school. I have all the fabric and the blocks embrodered for the 10 year old for her graduation from high school.
