Hello Everyone
I have no idea how I found this place but I am amazed. I sent an email to my friend and told her she HAD to join this group. I have spent hours and hours in here learning all sorts of things. But I digress . . .I am so hooked on this quilting thing. I spend close to 75% of my time in my sewing room. My room overlooks a river so I can see what is going on outside as the bald eagles fly up and down the river. The river is on the dividing line between Michigan and Wisconsin. I'm a fabricaholic and have a stash that reflects that. I'm also a color junkie. I love doing applique and am hooked on batiks. I live about 80 miles north of Green Bay Wisconsin (GO PACKERS . . . season ticket holder). Going to the Ricky Tims seminar with my friend, Sherry, in May in Eau Claire, WI. Can't wait. Looking forward to being on this forum. I'm so grateful to have found it. One of my applique quilts |

Thank you all so much for your compliments on my quilt. It was a labor of love for my new grandson from Ethiopia. My son and his wife adopted him and I went along to pick him up. I wanted to make something special for him so saw this pattern with mostly African animals on it and just had to do it. Had it professionally quilted as I didn't want to take a chance of ruining it.
