Greetings! I am new to this board, have been lurking only a short time. I have been quilting for a couple of years, although I think I have spent more time collecting fabric than sewing. Oh, and books. Love those quilting books! Between the books and the fabric, I could quilt nonstop for years without depleting my stash! I recently put a moratorium on my spending -- no more fabric until I use up a lot of what I have (and I mostly have stuck to that...). Anyways, looking forward to connecting with all of you!

Hi, and welcome from Rogers TX. You'll love the people on this board.
I'm right there with you on the quilting! I, too, have enough fabric to last me for years (and last week just ordered more from two online sites)! I also like quilting books and have a huge collection of those. I've bought books just to get one specific pattern that I liked. Lately I have decided that for every specific quilt project I complete, I'll then piece a scrappy top just to use up some of my stash and get it down to a manageable size. |
Hi!!! I used to live in Lumberton, Texas and belonged to the Golden Triangle Quilt Guild! In September of 09, my husband and I moved to the Hill Country. Hope you enjoy this board!

And I'll welcome you from Iowa! I am also a newbie...just now found the time to sit and read some of these forums. And a new quilter...just since January of this year. I'm an "old style" quilter...tie them instead of machine quilting. And so far 9 patch, a simple windmill, and strip quilts are all I've done. Each one I do I love the most! LOL! Sorry to sneak into your post to introduce myself, but not sure how to start my own.

Hello,
I love meeting new people whether it be in person or in cyberspace. Likewise I have a growing collection of quilt books to add to my ever increasing collection of gardening ones. Discovered the stash was growing rather quickly as well so over the weekend I collected it all together and sorted it into one of those large plastic tote bins. Well what a shock, one wasn't enough so have now almost filled a second. Now if I could just get a handle on my growing fabric addiction  Cheers Maybe1day |
