I am trying to make a decision about yet another machine. I am disabled and want a sit down long arm machine. I would love "George," but it is too expensive for me. I am considering Tin Lizzie 18 sit down model.

Have you considered the Sunshine 16 as a sit down long arm. It is less expensive than most. There was an article in the 22nd Anniversary Issue of The Quilter Magazine that compared all the machines. My daughter has the Longarm of theirs and is very happy with them and their service. Good luck.

I took some time to look at your work I think the Psycho Raven is funny! How many times have I felt just like that?
(If I got it wrong - you are very welcome to hate me!)
I moved to Port Lavaca just in August. I wish you were closer, because I too like to make Art Quilts and would like a friend to encourage me...(Psssst I am 81 - and have done a lot, and been a lot of places...and for several years carried a little Elna Stella around with me -mostly around the eastern med!)
I like your work especially the landscapes and flowers -the Bluebonnets! Hurrah three times! ( Please More? Please Please!)
Soooo WELCOME! TIS IS A FUN PLACE!

Forgot to mention that there are secondhand "Georges" and "16"s around that are good bargains! Gotta dig, though to find them...'spect you will be lucky, though!
because these ladies and gents will help you find one!
Just ask and see!

Ladies, if you want to see her work - click on her fine print links under her introductory paragraph. She has them on her 3 web sites.

Welcome from Maryland. In my opion when looking for your machine, take your time and research before you buy. My hubby did that for me. He was not happy with the reviews on the Tin lizzy. I do not remember why. That was two years ago. Products do change. He bought me a Gammill. If your looking to use it commercially, check out the warranties. Some do not cover very long. Happy hunting to you!
