I've reading this board for quite a while now, but I've never said HI. I started quilting about 12 years ago, but haven't done anything for about 2 years. I'm in a slump and need to get going again. I have a large stash and plenty of patterns, so now I just need a kick in the you know what. I look at all the pictures and hope to someday soon put one up that I just finished. I live outside of Raleigh in a subdivision. My DH and I are retired and we have 2 furbabies that are very spoiled

HELLO!!!
I find that the best inspiration for me it to look at the other quilts that people post pictures of :-) It was SUCH an amazing thing to see SOOOO many people with so many words of encouragement and I knew that I wanted to hear those things about mine. So I was able to jump right into my stash :-) I know you can to!! |
Hello and welcome from SW Iowa. Glad to have you here.
|
welcome
|
Thank you for all the encouragement. I have a rail fence on my design board, but I'm not real happy with it. I may take it down and start on something else to get me over the hump. I have a fq of blues and yellows I want to make a Yellow Brick Road out of. I should get that all around, but I'm also in spring cleaning mode right now. And I hate, hate, hate spring cleaning. Guess I'll have to see what wins out, cleaning or sewing.

HI from Washington State. Glad your going to get to quilting again. If you've been looking at peoples pictures here Im sure thats been an inspiration to you. I get into slumps too. I think all quilters do. I keep looking at magazines and quilt sites to get me going. I always think "begin, the rest is easy".
Glad your a doggy lover. I love Yorkies. |

Welcome to the board. I'm from Mass but live in Arkansas now. I'm retired and was wondering what to do with my life when I found quilting. It was work. But then I found an organization that touched my heart and now I quilt for them. It has turned a passion into a purpose.

Hi and Welcome from Port Huron, Michigan.
And I just love your furbabies. I too had one just like yours. I had her from 7 weeks old until 13 years old but lost her 2 years ago this July. We were never parted from each other all that time. lol They sure are a lot of fun, and they sure are smart for being so little. Give them a hug from me. I would love to have another one, but right now is not the time. Maybe someday. Again WELCOME Bev |
Welcome from Texas. I have 2 Yorkies both are so totaly different. We all hit a quilting slump. I hope you get over yours soon.

Hey - I'm new here too - couldn't help but notice your location - I spent lots of time last fall and well into spring at the Garner Ice House - and by default at the Garner Ale House. My son plays ice hockey (thankfully the season is over until October).
