Hey ya'll! I live in the metro east of St Louis MO. More in the cornfields than in east St Louis. I am originally from South Alabama but moved up here with work.

I have been quilting for 20 years or so. If I am not quilting, I do smocking and heirloom sewing. I am also very involved in our community theater with acting and music stuff. And, I make a lot of the costumes. Fun Fun Fun

Glad I found all ya'll.

God Bless the USA!

Welcome
I'm also from Missouri. In a small town called Knob Noster. We are about 60 min from Kansas City. I'm new to quilting and have found lots of great advise here. Everyone is very friendly and informative. We would love to see some of your quilts if you would like to post them. That is how a lot of us get our ideas.

Lynne,

Welcome! You are going to love all of your new friends here. Do you have any pictures of your costumes and other things you've made? I'd love to see them. :D I am fairly new to quilting and smocking is unfamiliar to me, what exactly is it?

Hi Lynne, Glad you found this group. They are full of helpfull hints & ideas. I'm from MO too, St. Peters, just outside of St. Louis going west. You sound real busy. That's what keeps us young!!!!! Welcome. Pat

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Smocking is a form of embroidery that is done over tiny pleats. You can google for pictures or go to www.marthapullen.com for more information. In the south, it is quite popular, not so much here in the mid west. So when I get home to visit, I stock up!

I'll post pics when I get pics made. :) I have been taking pics of the grandson and not so much of the quilts and such.

Lynne
