I am a Brit living in North Carolina (previously Maryland, Italy and England) Love to do art quilts and also do commissions for people. Commissions are mainly repairs and making quilts or finishing quilt tops.
My passion is art quilts though and all the different techniques. Would love to talk to other art quilters for tips, inpirations etc. Looking forward to talking to other quilters. |
Welcome Britgirl. I am also from North Carolina - 20 miles east of Charlotte. Where are you at? You will enjoy this board, a LOT of nice quilters and a lot of great information.

Hi, what a nice surprise to get such a fast answer! I live in wilmington and have been here for 5 years.
I was born in Northwich, Cheshire and then moved to Stow-on-the-Wold. I still miss it even though I have been in the States for 30+ yearsl. :D Where are you from and how long have you been here? |

And a warm welcome from Colorado (even though is snowing at the moment and not so warm). I'm not familiar with NC, but have a cousin that moved from Tennessee to Cedar Grove (???by Raleigh???) NC. This is really a great site -- the nicest people I have come across on-online.

Hi, Carolina Quilter! My husband and I just came back from babysitting one of our grandbabies, in Savannah. We stopped in Charlotte on the way home . . . really liking the Lake Norman area. My husband will soon be retiring, and we liked the area. While our children were raised in the Atlanta area, they have all settled in the NE. We don't tolerate the cold so well anymore. How do you like living in NC? Have a great day!

Welcome Britgirl. You will really like the folks here. I am a Brit. Was born and grew up near Chester, on the Wirral Peninsular. I have lived in S.C. for a little over 50 years, but still miss Cheshire. Good to have you here with us.

Hello from Washington. I hope you share some of your work. I have never done an art quilt, but at our quild quilt show and at the meeting last night, I saw some interesting quilts. Then to top it off, I won 2 Quilting Arts magazines at the meeting. Now I am really intrigued. I might just give it a try. :-)
