Hi! I'm a new kid on the "block" (pun intended). I am brand new at quilting and working on my first quilt; Linley Manner's "A Little Romance". I made the remark to my step-daughter that I would love to learn to quilt so she went and bought fabric and brought it over with one of her quilting books and said, Okay, Wendy, now I'm going to teach you to quilt." The fabric was an early birthday gift. I was so surprised and elated. I have much to learn at age 76; mostly quilting jargon. Such as: what is a "fat quarter", Jelly rolls, and thangles. Whew! I'm enjoying reading the helpful hints on this cite. I say you're never to old to learn.
