Good morning! I have an old treadle machine that needs cleaned and oiled, I think. Fortunately, I know a local fellow who use to do that for a living! Just need to get it to him someday.... Good luck with yours...

My, you are a youngster! A treadle machine is made to sew by placing your feet on a wide pedal near the floor. Used by the pioneer women and they were so proud of it if they could afford one. Not electrical... You might have seen one in a museum, but many of us older gals learned to sew using a treadle machine. And some still like to do piecing on them. Probably your grandmother used one.
