Hello all

I have bought all the stuff that I need to make a quilt a couple of months ago. I am not sure what I am waiting for. It could be its my first time or it could be I am still looking for a pattern that is easy to do. Or not sure where to start. I need a little encouragement from all of you experience quilters. Happy quilting :-)

RAHHH RAHHH RAHHHHH. SISBOOMBAHHHHH!!! You Can Do IT!!!!!!!!

Try a 9 patch. It is very easy and it will give you lots of practice with cutting and seams.

Hello and welcome from Ohio. You might try to find a quilting buddy either on here or near your home. I'm sure you can find many books at your local library or online. Have fun and this is a great place to ask any questions you have, as there are many, many helpful people in this group.

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!
Try a Warm Wishes or Railfence pattern. They're both very easy to do & you'll have a great feeling of satisfaction when you complete your quilt!!

Welcome! Perhaps if you find just one block to make it won't seem so overwhelming. Maybe a simple 9-patch just to learn to line up squares, make accurate seams, etc.

Here's one: http://www.quiltingassistant.com/9patch.html and there are many more.

I'm sure you'll get many replies with suggestions.

I procrastinated for ages before I could sit down and just do it. My sewing room looked like a magazine photo shoot, now it's a happy mess! Just put on some soothing music and start something easy. You will soon be addicted!

Sometimes the first few cuts of a fabric you really like are the hardest. Just be very careful with the rotary cutter.
You go girl ;-)
