I'm from rural Kentucky. By trade, I'm a registered nurse X 35 years. I enjoy everything quilting but don't have a lot of spare time just yet. I'm planning to retire in about 2 years and oh what fun I'm looking forward to. I have 3 dogs who are my best buddies - 2 corgis and a German Shepherd.

Oh . . a lady after my heart. I am a healthcare consultant looking forward to retiring in 3-4 years so I can have more time to play with my 10-12 herding dogs, 11 sheep, plus a few horses and cats too. I travel a good bit and often look for parks where people walk their dogs just so I can get my dog fix while out of town. Most of my quilting is dog related. I find the quilt shops in all the towns I visit first thing. Adel

Welcome to the board from Southern California!!!

Welcome from North Carolina!
|
Wow, what kind of herding dogs do you have. As you may know corgis are cattle herding dogs and other things too. Mine are just pets!! Bedwarmers, etc.
|
Most of mine are Border Collies. Our herding dog rescue has a cattledog mix, aussie, border collie, and a new breed of herding dog . . . Pit Bull herder. Honey doesn't know what to do when she gets to the stock but thinks it is fun to run with the border collies. We are working hard to make dog theme quilts to sell this fall to help support our rescue. If anyone has some ideas or great fabric suggestions, I am all ears.
