Eager to learn more..
Hi all, I am new to this board. I have been quilting for some 6 yrs now, but in no ways am I near where I would like to be, but I'm trying.
|
Welcome! I think we're all still learning. I've been quilting for 20+ years and I learn something with just about every quilt I make.
|
Welcome from PA. 15 years + of quilting and I am still practicing to get better & better.:D

Learning? Quilting? 20yrs ago, I learnt you never get caught up with learning. Just when you think almost there they introduced technology, new rulers.. on and on.. Try buying some thangle paper for quilting very outdated.

Welcome from western NY and happy quilting :)

One probably never learns all there is to know as everything changes with time. Welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.
|
No matter how advanced I get I'm always behind new gadgets come and go, new technology but least I spent my life having fun, and meeting new people around the world..
|
Welcome from Wisconsin. I agree with the person who said you learn something everytime you make a quilt or project. I finally think I've figured out how to use all the great tips to get my blocks square and the same size! And I've been making quilts for over 25 years.

Welcome aboard from southeastern PA I have been quilting for awhile but still am learning everyday. I first started out with simple blocks but as time goes on you get more and more brave about you attempt. Just don't always look
for perfection in everything you do. It's a learning curve everyday. Everyone here is willing to help you out, even when it comes to picking out colors that look good together. Just have your phone or regular camera ready to take and post pictures. Have fun in whatever you do. |

The last reply from Jeanne49 made me remember the first quilt .I tried and made..I thought it was easy looking..Ha..SOOO wrong..But I did do it and finished it..I have been quilting for over 20 years and still see things I want to do ..That is one of the magic in quilting ..There is always more..The cutting up of material and sewing it together .To grow into something beautiful ..I once had a lady say to me..I never understood why anyone would consider it fun to cut material and sew it back together..I replied.I do not understand why anyone would hit a ball and chase it around a golf course either.Mine is something of an art..As is yours..Which we both get much satisfaction from..And I think that is the key to quilting .Satisfaction..Enjoyment..Happy Quilting
