What a lovely idea for a quilt. Ditch in the ditch and on the envelope flat is all I would do. That would be fast and easy.

Adorable quilt. Welcome from New York.

Welcome from Pahrump NV - born in Broomfield, CO. This is a very sweet quilt and I can appreciate the skill, love and pain that went into it as I have fibromyalgia and have to work with good days and bad weeks also.

ronnie17 08-24-2011 05:17 AM

What if the envelope flaps could open...you could insaert memories or little notes to you daughter adn leave one in each envelope. A real heirloom.

Grandma Judi 08-24-2011 05:32 AM

JayCee 08-24-2011 07:38 AM

So pretty! Glad to have you join the board.

wildyard 08-24-2011 09:12 AM

Could you quilt a heart into each of the two bottom corners of each envelope?
With the pretty white flap, I wouldn't add anything there. It is a lovely quilt.
Huggggggs and smiles of welcome to the board for you!!!

So glad you've decided to become one of the Family here on the QB! Love your envelope quilt idea! It would be an ideal thing to make for each of my granddaughters (ages 21 and just turning 1!) I'd love to put little "words of love and wisdom in the envelopes like speacial notes from G-ma!) Hope one day they would treasure the thoughts. Thanks for sharing yours with us!
your new quilting friend,
Chigger

I posted information in the tutorial section listed Envelope Quilt. My step mom showed me how to put it together and I just took pictures as I went along. It really is a fun one and I think the hankies would be just addorable.

This was my first one and after I finish this one I want to make a red and white valentine envelope quilt. I have been collecting red and white material for a couple years now.
