Have just found this site, and joined....I need to spend more time at the computer like I need a large hole in my head..... :)
I live in Sydney, Australia and have been sewing for a very long time, quilting for less. Not doing much at present as I am recovering from a broken arm, but hopefully it won't be long before I can get back to it!

Welcome to the board from Southern California!!
Hope your arms heals up real quick and you can get to sewing again. I recently had shoulder surgery and can do some sewing, the cutting part and pressing are a little trickier (or should I say more painful)

Thank you! I have really learnt the meaning of patience over the past couple of months. I can cut with scissors, but ruler and cutter....not yet. And my hand pieced baskets (long term UFO) are on the backburner for a little while longer, until my hand is stronger. Strength will come back soon.

Hello from Illinois, USA. That's close to the middle of the country..

I'm sure you'll love this board. There is tons of information and quite a few good laughs to be had around here.
