Hello! I'm a new member from northcentral PA. I have a busy family with kids ages 7, 9, & 11, but I still make some time to sew... or I'd go insane! I'm excited to watch & learn from those who have more experience than I do. I really enjoy the challenge of trying something new.

I live in Elk County, but am a "frequent flyer" to Pittsburgh. My daughter (9 years old) was born with spina bifida & just had her 20th surgery last month at Children's Hospital there. Our follow-up appt is on Friday of this week, so I'll be back again. Are there any great quilt shops around the city? I just found one in Brookville that's lovely.

I am very familiar with Elk County. We visit a "hunting" camp in in I believe maybe Brookville. It's on the Clairion River and I know we go through Hulton. My sister and I just went to a quilt shop today in Finleyville called Quilters Corner and then there is one in Allison Park called The Quilt Company. Each are great in their own special way. I can't say I like one better than the other. If you want addresses I can get them for you.

I live near the airport in Moon Township.

Our kennel name is "Tilted Ears" - my favorite dog posture is the inquisitive head-tilt as they look at something that interests them. We have a small kennel of racing sled dogs that we train & race through the fall & winter months. Their summer vacation is nearly over - the cooler temperatures make us all get "itchy" to hit the trails!
