Hi from Kansas. I grew up in Moundridge between Newton and McPherson. I saw more snakes there than here. We have been here 6 years and so far haven't seen any. We live near the Indian Reservation vacant land and are very lucky so far.

Welcome from Idaho! I grew up in Montana. It's wild there, too, but in a very different way: mountains, bears, moose, elk, deer, wolves, coyotes, cows, horses, etc.

Hello & welcome from NE Alabama. Ask questions & show us your finished quilts & other projects. Also, a few members do tutorials, so if you go looking you'll find those informative & you might even do some yourself. We love folks who share. Nice to have you here.

thank you for the response. jerry and i like nm fairly well. we don't live in the mountains but close. jerry and moved here 6 years ago from colorado. we both love the mountains. we had a cabin there but couldn't take care of it so sold it. miss it all but i haven't missed the snow and icy roads. the culture here is very interesting. we like it here but not sure whether we are going to permanently live here. our son wants us to move to texas. don't know about that. Rio Ranch has 1 quilt shop and there are several in albequerque. i go to santa fe so shop at there quilt shop.

Where abouts are you? If you go to the user list at the top of the page and search by location you will see there are lots of us Aussies here.

I'll say! I lived and bore 2 daughters in Melbourne. Was there 6 yrs from 1967! Probably a lot different but you guys put us all to shame with your wonderful conservation and recycling dedication.

Any Kiwi's out there?
