Welcome from the Deep South in the USA. Youtube is a wonderful resource for almost anything quilting you want to know about. I do better with visuals. Just curious, are there any quilt shops in Sweden? Where can you buy cutting mats, rulers, fabrics, and other quilting supplies?

It's wonderful how differently people learn - I don't have the concentration for watching videos, but I could read tutorials all day. But sometimes a video is really needed to show things that won't come across in text or picture, of course.

There are supplies in craft or fabric stores, even if it perhaps isn't as big a thing here. And then there's always internet for ordering things :)

Welcome from Northern Nevada! So happy you have joined us ... This is a great place to learn from, share, and make many new friendships! Please share your "first ever quilt" with us. Of course you know that once you make one quilt, it's never turning back! Good luck with your project!

Haha, yes, I was thinking about this. Do I really need another material-heavy hobby to fill up even more of my storage space? But of course I do. And this is a great way to get rid of some fabric from my sewing boxes... not like I'm going to buy a ton of new fabric, right? :P

Edited to add: And thank you for the welcome and the encouragement! I'll be sure to post it when I've gotten somewhere with it :)
