I live in Bay Minette, same county as peaceful quilting. It is a small town about 30 miles north of Mobile.

Howdy, Vera, welcome from Oklahoma! Loved the time we lived in Brownsboro hamlet by Huntsville, Monte Sano Mts. are lovely this time of year. We also lost our 20 yr old son in a freak accident & I confess that quilting keeps me busy doing for others which band-aids the pain. If I find some fabric from his childhood clothes I turn the pain upside down by making some glorious block with it to celebrate his wonderful life and what a blessing he was to us.

Hi Vera, welcome from Florida. I have a daughter that lives in Hoover, AL. First, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It doesn't matter how long ago it happened, the pain never goes away completely. In time, the pain will be replaced by good memories, but in the blink of an eye sometimes, you will be transported back to the past and the pain will be just as raw as it was the day that you lost your loved ones. This board is awesome and you will learn something everyday. We will laugh with you and cry with you. Take care. ((hugs))

Hello Vera. First let me say I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you in every way possible. Enjoy your trip to Alaska. I want to do one of those cruises one day. I'm originally from Madison, Alabama. We live in Marylard for a couple of more months then we are moving to Collierville, TN. I can hardly wait to closer to our kids and grandkids.
