Just wanted to say hi from Central Alabama. I am fairly new to the board. Have been reading it for a few days and have enjoyed it greatly. I live in the woods on the Alabama river and do not have any neighbors and I do not know any other quilters in the area so reading your posts gives me some real human contact.

Welcome from Montgomery, AL ... are you anywhere near here? Beautiful view!

ontheriver 01-14-2011 08:13 AM

I am in Selma on the west side where the Cahaba and Alabama rivers meet. I am often in Montgomery, it has the closest Joann's and Hancock's. There is no place in Selma to buy fabric.

ontheriver 01-14-2011 08:14 AM

I am in Selma so I go to Prattville often to shop or go to the movies. Where do you get fabric?

ontheriver 01-14-2011 08:16 AM

Thanks everyone. I have not been to Decatur. Where in the state is that located?

Welcome from Texas. My husband would love your view and so do I. Want to move from city to where we can see water from our porch.
