Hello from the Prairies...I garment sew and collect vintage machines and am thinking of attempting quilting again...my one try was so disastrous I don't want to go there 8-) .

Welcome from sort of central Alberta! I'm the opposite. I love quilting but am scared to try sewing garments as my first time wasn't enjoyable. :)

Hello Ana!
You've come to the right place for confidence and inspiration. There are so many people that are willing/wanting to help whenever you run into problems. Please give quilting another try! If nothing else, you'll make lots of friends! :)

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Quilting has come a long way in a few short years. If you can, take a beginner class but if not you'll get lots of tips here. Check out the tutorials page on the QB and jump right in with something easy. Perhaps a 9 patch or if you're feeling adventurous a Disappearing 9 patch(DNP).

HI Ana and welcome to the board from Illinois. One attempt at quilting that turned out 'bad' should not stop you from a lifetime of enjoyment. Quilting is so wonderful I cannot even try to explain it. You can start something simple and go from there. You are not alone now, you can ask for help here !!

Kutnso 09-14-2011 05:21 AM
