Hi Everyone,
My name is Brenda and when I was working on the oil tankers, I took my handwork with me then, finished the tops at home. Needless to say, I have alot of "tops" to quilt now that I have retired. I take quilting classes at our local college and also at the our quilt shop. I'm learning "everything" from scratch and, finally...QUILTING. I'm trying to conquer my longarm (not digitized!). That thing is not as easy as some make it look! Really love this site....
Smiles to all....

You picked the hot part of the state. I'm a native so know most of the state pretty well. We are enjoying a foot of snow today. Welcome to AZ, and to the quilt board. Happy quilting.

Oh, Funny! We spent 3 winters in Ft. Myers with our motorhome, but I really can't stand the humidity tho I LOVE the ocean and its' bird life especially. We started driving out to AZ from Boston area for the winters and ended up building a house here in Chandler. I even hate the humidity back in MA during their summers!

I've been here 10 years and have the most terrific quilty friends and love the shops near me and those even a bit further away. AZ has been a wonderful quilting "home" for me. I miss my quilty friends in the Boston area as well, and always visit the shops there when I go back.

Yep..that is THE Marti Michell! She was a guest teacher in Payson, AZ last year at the Rim Country Quilt Roundup. She is simply GREAT!! She's a little thing, too.
