I love that I found this messae board. I have sewed since the early 1970's, and learned sewing after taking a Stretch & Sew class! I had just gotten out of college and had very little money. So I sewed an entire work wardrobe in stretchy fabric. I actually still have the book. I have only been quilting for 4 years and have so much more to learn. Besides quilting, I love to do cross stitch, sashiko, applique, collecting sewing machines, and going to quilt conventions!

I had knee replacement surgery in March and have not been able to sew, but have bought lots of fabric on line! I am so anxious to get back to it. I have spent a lot of time on my computer and I stumbled upon this wonderful forum. I have enjoyed you guys so much that I decided to become a part of this great group!

No, I haven't been yet. But I do plan to go. I hear it is a lot of fun. I also hear that it gets so crowded it is hard to get from booth to booth, but that won't stop me from going.

Hello from Oregon. Have fun in Sisters. I was planning on going this year but my nephew chose that date to get married. I'd be in big trouble if I chose the quilt show over the wedding! But it is tempting :)

Welcome from another Oregonian! Seems like we are all on the same page today! This board is addicting but so many wonderful people to share with.

If any of you are making it to Sisters we have a group from the board getting together. Watch for the thread so we know who is coming. Sisters is so much fun. It's amazing seeing so many beautiful quilts and enjoying the warm Oregon sun!

Welcome Susan from Washington State also.

Hang in there with recovering from knee surgery. I have had two knee replacements and a hip replacement. You will get out of the woods and be sewing up a storm in no time.

I attend a retreat up near your area every October.

Hope you enjoy this site.
