Hello from Bolton, UK

Hi All!

I'm a beginner quilter, I only just started about a week ago. I am currently working on a log cabin pattern for a lap quilt. I figured i'd best start with something fairly easy for my first project :-)

I'm very excited to quilt and will no doubt bore you all with my questions as time goes on

You need to keep reading this board, as there are so many things to be learned.. You will feel like a sponge absorbing everything.. You will also have so many friends that you didn't know you have.. I'm not talking about the ones that want something form you.. I'm talking about people that care about you, and will do random acts of kindness..
Enjoy..
Barri

Welcome from Los Angeles, and, you CANNOT bore this group with your questions....even the most experienced quilter learns something all the time on this Board. I have been quilting since the mid 70's and have learned more in the last few months then I learned the whole time I have been quilting.

Hi, I moved from Skipton, N.Yorkshire in October last year to Ryton, Tyne and Wear, nr Newcastle. I love Log cabin, it is possible to make so many differant designs.Make sure you sew with an accurate seam though throughout. You will find so much help here on the forum, quilters are always ready and willing to share. Look also on the You Tube sites for video lessons, just type in for etc, log cabin and you will find so much help. This craft is so wonderful and with the renewal of interest in homemade crafts here in the U.K. it's a good time to start. Good luck and love, Letty.
