Have fun!!!

We used to go to church in Summerfield. Our girls went to NW HS.
Do you belong to a guild or ever take any classes?
Nice to meet you!

Welcome from Jonesborough, TN!

There a lot of patterns to choose from and you can always expand smaller patterns to make your blocks bigger or the overall quilt bigger. Just keep looking around the board or on line for pattern ideas.

I tend to find patterns and change them to fit my needs/wants.

Hi Cathy, We moved to NC when my youngest child was going into her Junior year and she attended/graduated from NWHS also!!! But that was way back in the early 90's and we lived in Guilford County. My address now is still Summerfield but I have moved (several times, ugh!) and am just west of Reidsville in Rockingham County. Yep, I am a member of a Guild. Just like Peggy, I am a member of the Piedmont Quilt Guild. Have been for a number of years although I decided not to join this year and then did anyway. It's a bit far for me to drive since the meetings are at night and it gets dark early in the Winter. (I worry about hitting deer!!!) Looks like they are going to be doing a lot more classes/workshops this year so you might want to join and take some of them. If you do, let me know and I could meet you there sometime. You can look them up online. They do have a website: www.piedmontquilts.org There is also a Guild in Kernersville (Heart of the Piedmont Quilt Guild, www.hotqg.tripod.com). I also belong to a small group (about 18 women). We meet in each others homes twice a month in the morning. I do take classes now and then and my small group gets involved with swaps and informal workshops. Nice to have you aboard and keep in touch. Karen

Glad to be here and appreciate all of the info. and sharing from you all. (or as we say in Carolina y'all)
I am pretty new to quilting. I have quilted several wall quilts, a table runner and a vest. I really want to make a quilt for our king size bed.
I want it to be plenty big so we won't have to play tug-of war.
Haven't found a pattern yet.
Looking forward to getting to know each of you!
