This message board is awesome. I could stay on it for hours.
Glad to be here and appreciate all of the info. and sharing from you all. (or as we say in Carolina y'all) I am pretty new to quilting. I have quilted several wall quilts, a table runner and a vest. I really want to make a quilt for our king size bed. I want it to be plenty big so we won't have to play tug-of war. Haven't found a pattern yet. Looking forward to getting to know each of you! ~C |

Hey from another North Carolinian!
|
Welcome from the coastal region of SC, formerly from Charlotte. Spring might actually be around the corner -- I saw a crocus and a daffodil blooming yesterday as I walked my dog... I, too, love the quilt board, but I find that I spend more time reading and browsing the board than I do actually quilting! Since I'm new at quilting, I'm fascinated by all the ideas, photos, and talents it's easy to lose myself in all that's here...Anyway...WELCOME!!

Hello!
Welcome from Missouri! |
I didn't edit my reply very well -- I should have written: I'm fascinated by all the ideas, photos and talent. It's so easy to lose myself in all that's here on the board.. WELCOME from a fellow Carolinian!

Hi and welcome neighbor!!! I am just east of you (in the Summerfield section of Rockingham County). You will get so much help on this board that you will become an accomplished quilter pretty quickly .... assuming you stop reading it once in a while and actually do some sewing. lol Lots of great ideas for quilts also. Have fun!!!

Hello!
So you live in Guilford College? We used to live in Greensboro near NW High School and moved to Oak Ridge about 10 years ago. Are you in a quilting guild or do you ever take classes? I would love to meet you since we are almost neighbors! |
