Hi,
I use the Juki 98 on a Hinterberg frame and love it. I have found that if I go thru and baste the quilt and/or do stitch in the ditch then when I get to the bottom I take the quilt lose from the belly bar. After that it is easy to roll the quilt back andd forth to do quilting with the shorter arm.
