Hello.....its not Adele
I have been quilting for approx 14 years. As a child / teenager growing up in UK, I was mesmerised and inspired by the beautiful quilts grandma used to make on Walton's Mountain; oh how I wished I lived a big clapboard house with a wrap around porch married to John Walton .... I married my own 'John Walton' in 1992 ... no wrap around porch or sawmill, I live in SW London and I have finally accepted it's never going to happen. I often browse this website, view the stunning quilts and see how much everyone supports each other and the guidance / advice offered , so decided to take the plunge and join.

Welcome. I hope you enjoy this board as much as I do.

Welcome from SC Texas. Happy you joined us. I spent the first six years in a house like that. No sawmill but DD owned the general store. Moved to town when I was six and I always missed the joy of my first six years out in the country.

Welcome! Country living has it's own drawbacks and challenges. Hope you enjoy making some quilts of you own, like Grandma Walton's.

Welcome from Southern California! You are not the only one that would love to live in the Walton home - it was beautiful! I would be happy with a large from porch - but that is not going to happen for me, so will be thankful for the wonderful home I do have. Again - welcome!!!
