Welcome from Beautiful Arizona. I am an artist and quilter - I have to pull myself from the sewing machine to get in front of the easel - I love doing both forms of art - we all know that quilting is an art form - but quilting is so addictive - just wait, you'll find that out for yourself!

sewlilly 12-06-2010 07:31 AM

Hi and welcome from AR! It will become an addiction. I promise.

Hello David and welcome from Germany. Most of the quilters share passions for other crafts and arts, too. I guess we are a creative bunch of lovely people :).

Hi David.
I am also disabled and and from MA just north of RI. Quilting was my salvation. Hope it'll be yours too.

greenini 12-06-2010 01:17 PM

Hi, David,

I'm disabled, too, and used to live in Mass. Norwood, just south of Boston. we retired to Atlanta which is where we are now.

I began to quilt because I couldn't find a quilt for our bed!

Welcome and you came to the right place

greenini 12-06-2010 03:22 PM

Thanks, Yetta,

I hope to be able to get some quilting done right now as I am in a better place...no brain-fog so to speak. I never remember what it's like to be clear brained till I am again.

I am several years over due on a trip around the world, got the center done, but want to do 4 fancy corner blocks to acknowledge the person's interests. I'm good for the drama, church, and school block, but want to try to find a picture of 3 tenors for that block.

BTW, we miss Boston a lot. Couldn't afford to retire there, cost of living was much higher there then here (Atlanta)
