My name is Carol and I live south of Boston and have only been quilting for a little over a year. I have made embroideded quilt tops and hand quilted them but just started doing pieced quilts. I love it. Hubby bought me a Baby Lock machine and I am always found sitting at it. I am grammie to 7. They range in age from 15 1/2 down to 4 month old twins. Would love to find quilters from my area. I have set up an entire room in my house just for my quilting.
Embroidered quilt top and hand qulted the entire quilt. Baby quilt I just finished. My first pieced quilt. |

Another quilting "orphan" from MA--I live in Jefferson, a little town outside of Worcester. Maybe we should try to get together some time? We could do our own "shop hop" with lunch or a mini-quilting retreat?
Just dreaming, I guess. But it's good to know there are other quilters in MA! Jory |
Thanks for all of the welcomes. I really like this website and enjoy seeing all of the quilt pictures.

Hi Carol, I'm also south of Boston, in Norwell. Welcome to the board. Your quilts are gorgeous. Hmm, one year eh? It must be in your blood because they are really neat.

Hi Charleen, I am in North Easton. We are not far from each other at all. How long have you been quilting? I am now trying to visit the local quilt shops to develop my stash. Have you been to RYCO in Rhode Island yet? I just went there a couple of weeks ago.....WONDERFUL.

Hello, and Welcome from Idaho!

Hello and welcome from California! Your quilts are beautiful! I love Boston - I love Massachusetts! I use to work for a company that has their headquarters in MA. I saw Boston in every season. My co-workers use to tease me and say that they would trade places with me - they could not believe how much I loved it there.

Hello and welcome from Edmonton Alberta, your quilts are awesome.
|
I'm in Norwell, been quilting off and on for a long time but just started in earnest when I had the chance to build my stash in a job I had. Never been to RYCO (what's it's full name?)
I'd love to go, after all, stash building is the name of the game!

You are right, there is a little of everything here for weather. I even like the snow! Missed the change of seasons when we lived in South Africa.

Welcome from South Australia from another newbie. I'm in awe of people who can embroider. Your quilt is beautiful.
|
Hi there, my hubby is from just outside of Akron and it was his mom who taught me to quilt. She lives in Wilmington.
|
Hi there, we are neighbors. North Easton here. What is your favorite place to get fabric around here?
|
The embroidered quilt took one summer, fall and part of the winter to embroider. I then tucked it away and the next July after surgery, took it out and started hand quilting it and finished it the next February.
