Hello Hunnib,

I live in Beulaville, NC which is about 1 1/2 hrs from you. Have you joined the local quilt guild? I do not belong to a guild as of yet, but do love
Wilmington.

mamadoglewis...hi, you aren't far from me at all. No, I haven't joined guild. I've often thought about it because since moving to Wilmington most of my friends are younger and don't share my enthusiasm for quilting. If you decide to join in Wilmington, I could be easily persuaded, lol!

If you decide to make a Saturday trip to Mary Jo's, I would love to meet up and go. If you decide you are interested, let me know.

I just checked their website and they are open until 5:45pm on Saturdays. Wonder if there are others on the board who live down this way that would like to go. It's a 5 hour trip from Wilmingon.

Welcome from Iowa, my sisters and I were able to travel to NC this past summer, how beautiful everything was.

SulaBug, thank you and thank you for the warm welcome from all the other ladies as well. There is so much going on on this group, I don't know how you get anything done. I stayed up late last night reading, lol!

DA Mayer, what part of NC did you visit? I live at the coast but it's nice that I can be in the mountains in about 4-4 12 hours so we have the best of both worlds.

I bet if we set a date there are. It would be doable in one day if we started even as late as 9AM.

mamadoglewis, why don't you figure out a date that's good for you. I can go most anytime except within the next two weeks. My husband's fishing buddies are here until then so I have to tend to them. After that, I'm free. Maybe we can get a group together once we figure a date. I think it would be fun.
