Hi. I am relatively new to quilting. Started about 3 years ago. Mainly just piece tops. Minimal free hand quilting on smaller projects, still learing that! I found this site while looking for information on 306K Singer machines. Inherited last summer. Has all the attachments.....Anyone know if or how to sew a quarter inch seam on that particular machine?

I would just check it out myself first by lifting your presser foot, lowering your needle and sliding a flat metal ruler from the right side of the needle out from that and see if there are any marked or indented lines indicating any measurement.

If there are no markings, you might have a needle lever that will move your needle to where you can measure 1/4" seam allowances. Without seeing your machine, I can't suggest any thing else right now.

Waving from Australia! You could use a magnetic seam guide to measure your 1/4" - but not recommended for use with computerized sewing machines.
